Former ESPN motorsports writer Hinton dies at 76

Ed Hinton, an ESPN senior writer who specialized in motorsports before retiring in 2014, a career that also included writing for Sports Illustrated, the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times, died Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama, at 76 years old.
